AnalogPlayer

Closed beta · invite-only

Everything worth keeping. And learning from.

Analog Player is a personal media instrument. It tunes into what you already read, watch and hear, scores it against your taste, breaks down what clears the bar, and turns the best of it into programs you can study. Your taste, on tape.

The premise

The feed never ends. Your attention does.

You follow more than you can finish. The good parts are scattered across channels, letters, papers and shows, and most of it scrolls past. The Player listens to all of it and brings forward the few things worth your hour. What you do with them is still up to you.

Everything you follow comes in on the left. What clears the bar goes on deck.

The signal path

From everything you follow to what you keep.

  1. 01

    ⌁ Tune in

  3. 03

    ▶ Break down

What clears the bar gets the full card: what, why it matters, how, where and when, for you, nuance.

  4. 04

    ▣ Keep and learn

Highlights, research runs and saved items go to the vault. Topics become programs you can work through.

Learn

Name a topic. Get a program.

This is the part the Player is built for. Type what you want to understand and it composes a sequenced program from the best of reading, watching and listening, leaning on voices you already follow. Tick items off as they air, and run a deep dive on anything that needs one.

Who it is for

For people who save more than they can read.

The planner

Forty links saved for one trip.

Paste the guides, videos and threads you have been collecting. The Player reads them all and lays out what is worth doing, in an order you can follow.

The learner · the student

A subject you want to understand properly.

Name the topic and get a program: a sequence across reading, watching and listening, with a deep dive on whatever needs one.

The creator

References and ideas scattered across five apps.

Paste a link, drop a file, connect a feed. One place for all of it, and a vault that remembers what you kept and why.

The researcher · the investor

You need the argument, not the headline.

Each breakdown separates what is claimed from how it is supported, and keeps the counter-case in view. For companies and markets, Analog Intel picks up from there.

The Player is in closed beta. Tell us what you read, watch and save, and a person will read it. If you are a student or a researcher, say so. We want to build this with you, and we will set you up with access.

What the instrument is, and is not.

What is it?
A console for the media you already follow. It ranks, breaks down and files. You read, watch, listen and decide.
Is it a read-later app?
Closer to the opposite. Read-later apps store what you meant to read. The Player reads it first and tells you whether it deserves the hour.
What can it tune into?
YouTube subscriptions, Substack, Medium, arXiv, any RSS feed including podcasts, pasted links, and uploaded documents, audio and video.
Does it act for me?
No. Access is read-only and nothing is posted on your behalf.
What does it cost?
The beta is invite-only and not yet priced. Pricing will be set before it opens up.
Who builds it?
Analog Holdings. The Player is one of the instruments, alongside Analog Intel and Analog Research.
